Briefly noted

Thank you to everyone that attended the sold out launch for Notes, our collection of 100+ iPhone notes from a variety of creative contributors, published in collaboration with Night Gallery.

Daisy Alioto and Josh Zoerner discussed the importance of the iPhone note as a genre (Daisy quoted Lorrie Moore to call them, “a kind of biopsy of human life.” Josh described the process of designing the book inside the Notes app itself, which proved very stressful for our printer.)

Nick Susi, Leah Abrams and Grace Robins-Somerville read aloud from the book. Then some brave souls improvised and read straight from their phones! This was a crowd favorite:
