Next week we’re kicking off another editorial collaboration, one of our most creative yet! We don’t want to leave you bereft of links as we roll it out, so please enjoy the following curation for your weekend. 〰️

If you’re looking for a book blurbed by the holy trinity of Anthony Bourdain, Sarah Nicole Prickett, and Chelsea Hodson, look no further than Essays and Fictions by Brad Phillips (2019). I finished this unflinching look at sex, drugs and addiction on my way back from San Diego last weekend. Phillips’ partner Cristine Brache is currently releasing her second book of poetry 𝘎𝘰𝘰𝘥𝘯𝘪𝘨𝘩𝘵 𝘚𝘸𝘦𝘦𝘵 𝘛𝘩𝘪𝘯𝘨 on Metalabel.
I believe in Character Actor supremacy. I can’t stop listening to QWERTY II by Saya Gray. These vintage Wimbledon posters are gorgeous. I think the rom-com Notting Hill is about to have a renaissance.
The End magazine is accepting pitches on Parents and Children. The Dial is interested in pitches about America, Language and Deadlines. ZINE is running a competition for emerging writers and critics.
Clue Perfumery sold out their most recent scent, described as a “cup of jasmine tea, brewed with ocean water.” Ashlee Simpson fans, dust off the French maid costumes. I’m joining the Skechers lawsuit against L.L. Bean on the side of L.L. Bean. Good news for Yoshitomo Nara heads. The martini index.
I am also thinking about: Winona Forever, Christina Ramberg, Sabine’s Gulls, Mini Sweatshorts in “Earth” by Dirty Manners. War by Camper (feat. Ari Lennox & Jeremih). Bitter North by Alexandra Tanner. 🍊
