A message from Daisy

Hi! I’m Daisy, I’m the CEO of Dirt Media. 

Have you noticed that every website is starting to feel the same? Even the best writing about the internet seems to circle around the same grooves, moving our brains along like marbles. This thing is trending on TikTok! This brand is late capitalism

It’s exhausting, isn’t it? Some newsletters treat you like a consumer. Others treat you like a business. Dirt treats you like a tastemaker in your own right. We’re not going to tell you what to like or what to buy or where to invest your money or what Bob Iger said in Aspen. We’re just along on your journey––a copilot in accidental refinement. 

Dirt’s motto? If everyone is talking about it, we’re probably not. My personal taste is both “high” and “low” brow. I like Boz Scaggs, diner breakfast, Cartier, peach rings, Paolo Sorrentino and Dior lip oil. It’s not the best taste but it’s mine

When Dirt lands in your inbox, I hope you don’t know what to expect. I hope it feels like opening a magazine in your childhood bedroom while it’s still cold from the outdoors and getting a puff of ink and perfume.
